Campaign contributions by DACA recipient?

My boyfriend is a DACA recipient and he donated to a presidential candidate without reading the full disclosure that you have to be a US citizen or have a green card. Which he does not have. According to the FEC, that s not allowed. What does he have to do?

If he's smart he'll do nothing. The only people who know who gives what in political campaigns are the fundraisers for those campaigns. It's not like he's going to be tracked down and deported over this.

Too late. By contributing, he has falsely claimed to be a US citizen or legal permanent resident. It's about the worst thing he could possibly do. Even if he held a green card, it could be revoked with mandatory departure & permanent bar to reentry. He has no choice but return to his country of citizenship & remain there permanently.

Unlike a voters registry, campaign donations will not surface at a federal background check. It's highly unlikely that this will ever become an issue.

He needs to contact the campaign that he donated the money to to resolve the issue.
