Is it rare to get attacked in UK

I hear robberies and crime all the time

Is fear normal 

If attacked can eye gouging and ripping like an animal work

Street violence is rare.  Burglaries happen.  If you use common sense you will come to no harm. 

Don't wander around alone at night with obvious bling or easy bags to snatch. 

Don't leave doors and windows unlocked.

Don't be around people that use illegal drugs.
