How do you say "best if used by..." in German?

There was the first part I'm not getting, something like "mindslot" but the other haltber bis" means "stop before this" right?

No. 'Haltbar bis --[date]' means roughly and literally 'Can be kept until [date]' . And it's just that we usually say 'Good until --' or an equivalent rephrasing in English. I don't know what your other words are supposed to be...   (well maybe 'mindestens' or something like that,  come to think of it.)

"mindestens haltbar bis" ??? That means "can be consumed without any worries until at least"

    "haltbar" literally means "keepable"

"verbrauchen bis (day, month, year)" (Verbrauchsdatum)

"mindestens haltbar bis (day, month, year)" (Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum)

I think you mean "good before" as you can see on food. the date of expiry.
