Both.  It depends on who you ask.  Personally I'm a coffee man.  Why else is the UK so full of coffee shops?

Rubbish English beer these days is like the Yank beers chilled down till it becomes utterly tasteless.

But there are some really good craft beers which are cellar condtitoned   which has lower means the kegs or in rare cases the wooden barrels are stored i  a cellar at lower temperatures to those in the bar of the pub

Both, which is why we have thousands of branches of Costa and Starbucks.

When I was in London a few years ago, tea is still the preferred drink. There are some places that serves coffee but almost everyone drinks tea. There are so many tea shops.
