Can A Lazy Person Become a Famous Actress?

This really vain, spoiled girl from my high school wants to be an actress. She is 23, has not made it yet, but has two years of acting classes.

She is a lazy brat who posts pictures of herself "modeling" on Instagram and all her audition tapes/headshots constantly on Instagram.

Can she make it if she's lazy?

The thing is, she has supermodel good looks, and is better looking than everyone.

What's an actress??? The feminazis think everybody is so equal, all the actresses nowadays call themselves "actors"! Why???

Why are you in such a lather about this? Either she will make it, or she won't. Your raving about it won't make the slightest difference either way.

Turn your attention away from her and find something you're interested in for yourself.

My question is you should ask yourself why you are so obsessed with her and whether or not she will “make it.” I’m guessing you aren’t friends the way you talk about her. Are you just jealous of her looks? Why not concentrate on your own life? You are really wasting your time and energy on this.

Probably not.  Professional acting is a business, not a lottery.  Sounds like she has some silly idea that she will be “discovered” by posting pictures and videos.  That’s not how the industry works.

To really succeed she needs to run a business including understanding legal issues like contracts, unions, effective marketing and networking. (And just posting pictures and videos of herself on social media is not effective marketing.)  Lazy people are not good at running a business.

And while looks play a role in casting they’re far from the main consideration. Being good looking is not enough. People in the industry invest a lot of money in their projects and they trust that to professionals who are strong team players.  They wouldn’t be interested in trying to work with people who can’t/won’t pull their weight and are only motivated by vanity.  And they don’t have to.

    It's highly unlikely.

Two years of acting classes is nothing, really.  On average it takes seven years of attendance at a really good acting school and of stage and film experience before any aspiring actor might stand a chance, and even then, only if they have huge talent.

Also, modelling has nothing to do with acting.  The sort of person who wants to be a model is rarely the type who has what it takes to be an actor!

Being vain is also a red flag.  Actors have to accept and learn from criticism - often very harsh criticism - on an almost daily basis, and in the acting world, a vain person will not be liked, respected or wanted.  Most actors are very down-to-earth, ready to laugh at themselves and not at all selfish.

Posting her own audition tapes online is a huge mistake.  All she's doing is publicising her own failures. Having "supermodel good looks" isn't going to help her if she's not very talented, humble and likable.  No-one ever wants to work with spoiled brats and conceited divas.

As for being lazy - that's enough to tell people in the acting world that she's going to fail without any of the rest of her bad personality.  Actors have to work extremely long hours, often being onset by 4am and often having to stay until midnight, for weeks at a time.  They have to be disciplined enough to learn hundreds of lines in a matter of days.  They have to research their characters.

Honestly - it's not a job for the lazy!

    Not likely.

Modeling has no relevance to acting and if the woman doesn't have any acting talent, minimal training and a lot of drive she isn't going to get acting jobs just because she is attractive.
