    I tend not to use it because I don't think it ads much to the taste and I am watching my sugars intake

    Chutney is always used as a condiment, that too in little amount.

    I have done, with a scotch egg, pork pie, cold roast ham, sharp cheddar, breaded & fried brie cheese.
