    1. Just check out whether the drive can burn any other files.

If yes then the problem might be with your Disc.

Otherwise you need to update the software associated with your DVD Drive.

    2. Check the usage of Driver application to burn your file type.

    This might fix the issue.

Ask youtube, or google, do you have a program where you can drag the file to the dvd?

You need to provide some details in order to ascertain & address the issue.

Before DVD-Burner became a commonplace PC component, there were DVD-ROM drives...  much like CD-ROM drives came before CD-Burners (as well as BD-ROM drives before BluRay Burners).

Assuming you actually have DVD-burner, you're going to need a compatible blank disc & the proper software to burn the data onto the disc so it's readable by other optical drives.  After that, it's possible that the burner is damaged or worn to the point it cannot reliably burn a usable disc.

You might be better off consulting professional help on this.

Care to provide any details? How are you trying to burn the DVD? What program? Does the program show any error messages?

Have you verified that your drive is a DVD burner? Most DVD drives from the past 10 years can burn DVDs, but you might occasionally come across a drive that can only read DVDs, not burn them.
