When (exactly) is the Time-line for the current Millenium?

Exactly how-far into the current Millenia is / or should we claim as Y2k?

Yes - I know that this Big Blue Marble we are riding is dated (by the Roman calendar) is 2,018 years old.

By many / either of the more-Scientific Dating-devices; which should we as Human-kind more-accurately use (I know this has been debated between the Natuarlists vs. Religions ever since Recording of Time started) - I m merely posting this question for something to post. O:-)

Update:

The Current year is 2019 (by the Roman calendar.)

The Earth formed 4.5 billion years ago, starting our calendar that far back would be useless to us.

Y2K referring to the start of the year 2000. It did not refer to the entire millenium, just that one night Dec 31/1999 at midnight.

People know how old the earth is. Probably billions of years it took to make it habitable. Then we go by how old some were and when they died. When we go back from the birth of Jesus it is 4026 when Adam lived and died. So adding 2019 to that we get 6045

If you want exactness, then you need to grasp what changes took place to the Roman Calendar and what system we operate under now.

The Western or Gregorian calendar derives from the Julian Calendar instituted by Julius Caesar in 46 BC and adjusted by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, who eliminated the accumulated error and avoided its recurrence by restricting century leap years to those divisible by 400. Britain adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1752 when the error amounted to 11 days, and then the beginning of the year was put back from 25 March to 1 January. (Hutchinson Encyclopedia p140) Just take note of the fact that we do not now operate under the Roman (Julian) calendar, but the Western (Gregorian) calendar.

For all practical intents and purposes, it is okay to go by this year being 2019 A.D. (anno domini = in the year of the Lord). Or 2019 C.E., common era, if you prefer. Whether the start of this current year was on 1 January or 25 March will depend on your view of when that event should be marked.

The time of the gentiles will end in 2028. Then the "seventh day", the millennial reign of Yeshua will begin.
