Can you get in trouble if you have not been drinking, you are driving a drunk friend home, and you get pulled over for a broken tail light?

No,you can not. You are simply transporting your friend and are not physically drinking yourself

Driving someone drunk home is ok as long as you are not drinking while driving in which you said ate not so you are fine

Of course. How would driving a drunk friend home prevent you from getting into any kind of trouble?

You will only get in trouble for the broken light. And may not get in trouble for that either.

The drunk friend doesn't matter because it's not illegal to be drunk and they wouldn't get you in trouble because of the taillight.

There's no law against driving a drunk passenger.  The cop may smell the alcohol-breath in the car and make you take a test.  But you'll pass.

As for the broken tail light, you might get a 'mechanical' on that, requiring you to fix it and then get the ticket signed off, and there may be a small administrative fee.  But no more serious than if you didn't have a drunken passenger.

In addition, some cops may be a little more lenient if you are completely sober and getting a drunk friend home because you are being a good person. But still, a broken tail light will almost always get you a "fix it" ticket
