Should Facebook users not provide info about their current employer on their profiles?

I dont think we should announce to the world who our employer is.

What if one wishes to cause us harm ?

You might offend someone online , and they could take a screenshot of something you posted. They might report this to your employer , and then you might be fired?

Do you see what I am getting at?

Anyone who posts things online that would get them fired if their employer saw it is an idiot.

  • You don't have to add your work place info on Facebook if you don't want to.

Which is why you shouldn't post any thing that your employer could question you about, or fire you over.

When you have a job it's partially your responsibility to think about the consequences of doing things like that.

I haven't come across and employer that wished to do me any harm over my Facebook page.
