    perhaps the term one could not retrieve

    from the human vast vocabulary was MANUAL or "CRANK"

    My wife actually wanted to buy a new car with wind up Windows.......and the dealer thought she was insane.

    She is.........but that's besides the point.

    He told her it would have to be special ordered and could take months to arrive from Japan.

    Then they had the Fukishima disaster, and then she worried that her new car would be radioactive..........so she just took the one with electronic Windows, already on the lot.

    Yeah, I put up with this evey day.

    Electric front windup back in the cheaper cars. Some more expensive ones are back/front.

    Yes, very low end cars and those sold outside of North America.

    Yes. My entire car is windup. I gotta crank it before I can drive anywhere.

    yes very cheap models do, Hyundai, Kia and some american models

    Yes they do, most economy models still have manual windows.
