In the 1980s many said that Japan would become a superpower. Why did that not happen?

    Japan is still stuck in In the American dominated loser camp.

    if you consider it's one of the largest economies and has first and foremost put looking after its own residents priority, also consider the devastating recent typhoon damage compared with number killed, i'd say it is.
