At what age can you tell the gender of a crested gecko (i cant find a certain answer)?
some say 6 to 8 months, some say 9 months, some say 1 year

You are seeing variable answers because it is more dependent on size then age. Growth rates can vary depending on diet and temperature.
As a general rule, once the gecko is 15 to 20 grams in size you should be able to see some darker spots on the femoral pores of the males. With most, if the hemipene bulge is not becoming evident by 6 to 8 months then you most likely have a female.
