Can you help me with English please?

Discover a clearly stated point, or thesis.

I'm very confused with the word "discover", because I don't know what it means exactly. Please help me.

Thank you!

Discover in that sense means "Find and show here a clearly stated point."

In this context, it may mean uncover, reveal, or examine.

Discovering is usually the aim and end-point of a search and find exercise, but in your case ‘discover’ has a strong flavour of ‘discern’, which is a less mechanical and physical, and a rather more intellectual and analytical activity. I would reword the assignment as “Discover and discern a clearly stated point, or thesis”.

Context is always useful, but I would say it means Find.
