Are people generally taller in mountainous, high elevation places?

I've always seemed to notice this but such places seem to have a really high number of rather tall people 6 foot and over.

Update:

It seems like lower flat places are the opposite. At least from what I've seen but maybe this is all a strange coincidence.

    Yes

    The gravity is lower

Not that I've noticed. The Dutch are tall on average and that's anything but mountainous.

Yes but the difference isn't really measurable. The reason being is that the farther you get away from the Earth's core then the less gravity pulls on you. You'll also weigh less but best case scenario is maybe a few grams.

They aren't. It is probably that they attract fitter people who tend to look thinner that out of condition lardarses.
