What word means “relating to or affecting Porcupines” ?

Equine is the answer to this question when posed about horses...bovine for cows...porcine for pigs...lupine for wolves...canine for dogs...feline for cats, etc. What on earth is the word which answers this question for porcupines (infraorder

Hystricognathi

)? I refuse to believe the unfortunate inkling in the back of my mind that the term could simply remain

porcupine.

Narrowing like this, would be Hystricognathi,,(Hystricine),,a more general term could be rodent.

I had lots growing up, I see one in the yard,"Oh look, a porcupine".

Really cool misunderstood animals, much a herbivore, give one a little fresh parsley, you are Friends or life, well the 20 or so years they can live, a long time for a rodent.

Hystricine. You take the Latin family name and add -ine. Canus (dogs) becomes canines. Felis becomes felines. Bovus becomes bovine. Ursidae becomes ursine.

Prixaroute. It's most commonly used when the House and Senate go home.
