Do you know of anyone elected president of the United States after being found guilty in court of violated federal prior to Trump?

If so, can you provide a reference supporting your claim?

If there is anyone doubting that Trump was found guilty in court of violating federal law see

Trump was the victim of aggression on the part of his broker. He (Trump) purchased "stock options" which were exempted under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

His broker, however, went on to purchase actual stock in the company - which was a violation.

Trump was advised by both his broker and ″the most respected lawyers in the business″ that a stock option purchase was exempt.

It was a civil judgment and he opted to pay the fine rather than drag everything out in litigation.

This was no federal crime - if it was, you can bet your Liberal backside that it would have been exposed long ago. No one convicted of a federal crime is eligible to run for President.

Of the 19 impeachments by the House, two cases did not come to trial because the individuals had left office, seven were acquitted, and eight officials were convicted, all of whom were judges. ... To date, no president has been removed from office by impeachment and conviction.

That is a civil judgement, not a criminal conviction. --- and No, I do not like Trump.

    • Thank you. I loathe him with every fiber of my being, and I cannot understand how he ever got elected... but facts matter.
