The sun is a nuclear fusion reactor converting hydrogen into helium.

Almost 99.9% of the atoms and 98.1% of the mass are hydrogen and helium

There have been 67 chemical elements catalogued and top amount gas elements (Earth room temp gas) are:

    Atoms percent, and mass percent

    Hydrogen 91.2 , 71.0

    Helium 8.7 , 27.1

    Oxygen 0.078 , 0.97

    Nitrogen 0.0088 , 0.096

    Neon 0.0035 , 0.058

    there's really more than one.

The Sun is a huge, glowing sphere of hot gas. Most of this gas is hydrogen (about 70%) and helium (about 28%). Carbon, nitrogen and oxygen make up 1.5% and the other 0.5% is made up of small amounts of many other elements such as neon, iron, silicon, magnesium and sulfur.
