There is no rational reason to think that, but you go right ahead if you like.

actually there is a revelation of saints coming back on white horses. but it will happen at the end of the millennium aiui. there will be a war after satan is loosed. btw how can hell and the lake of fire be eternal if satan gets released after a thousand years and he is not dead yet. God can destroy both body and spirit, so why not satan. ? and again it says death and hell give up their dead, meaning in the resurrection even mankind does not spend eternity in hell. or in the grave.

that said, its a common teaching of JWs that only 144 thousand go to heaven. well, i dont believe this. neither would i accept the lies that only 8 souls and only of the JWs would be allowed into heaven. the idea of 144 thousand people only being saved in heaven can be reproved, but its the idea that makes their membership believe in a strong delusion, which would be a false prophecy. Everyone ! that is capable of becoming a son of God , that Jesus Gives mankind will be made Sons of God and will be given inheritance and it is written even Worlds without End. and Jehova witness DO NOT have this covenant.

This is a quote from an official JW article this summer. "We must strengthen our loyalty now so that we will remain loyal during the great tribulation.

    14. (a) What change will take place regarding the brothers who take the lead on earth? (b) Why will we need to be loyal at that time?

    14. During the great tribulation, a change will take place regarding the brothers who take the lead on earth. At some point, all anointed ones who are still on earth will be gathered to heaven to share in the war of Armageddon. (Matt. 24:31; Rev. 2:26, 27) This means that the Governing Body will no longer be with us on earth. However, the great crowd will remain organized. Capable brothers from among the other sheep will take the lead. We will need to show our loyalty by supporting these brothers and by following their God-given direction. Our survival will depend on it!"

What this amounts to, is preparation for over 8 million rank and file JWs who will never get to Heaven to be prepared for their 'anointed' leaders suddenly disappearing during the Great Tribulation. They are claiming that they will all die, at Jehovah's instigation, to be raptured up to Heaven. Oh, sorry. They HATE that word and deny that they have any 'rapture doctrine', but what they mean is that they will be caught up into the sky, but invisibly. Then, when Jesus returns (or is 'present') for the third time but, again, invisibly, they will descend with Christ and the angels to carry out the war of Armageddon on Earth. Symbolic horses according to them. Artistic impressions show horses in the sky but they are their riders are all invisible, so it's symbolic.

This is not what JWs call "judgment day", however. They say this will be at the end of the Great Tribulation, which will lead into Armageddon. Their idea of judgment day is that AFTER Armageddon is finished, then the 1,000 year millennial rule of Christ starts on Earth, and THAT will be the judgment day - one that lasts 1,000 years.

However, your main question is correct, that JWs now believe all their Governing Body (and other JWs claiming to be anointed with 'holy spirit)' will suddenly disappear, never to be seen again. Ever. How terribly convenient for men who have lawsuits and millions of dollars penalties and costs hanging over their heads right now. How intriguing that these GB men have announced a multi billion dollar media center to be built. Wonder if it will turn out to be a bunkering-down facility for large numbers of American JWs? Or if it will only get half-built before the GB disappear with the accounts? It does make you wonder. The truth will eventually come out.

No. They'd be lucky to get anywhere near heaven.

It is more likely that 8 men have power and will do or say anything to maintain it....
