Is testosterone responsible for crimes?

Somewhere I read that men with high testosterone are more aggressive, dominant, commit more crimes, rapists, likely to cheat on their partners and alcoholics.

"Crime" is a broad term. I'm studying criminal justice. Women actually are rising in crime rate, while men are decreasing. It's thought we'll meet each other in the middle. Men commit more violent physical crimes (for example, rape or murder), while women commit more emotional (for example, false-rape claim) crimes. Both commit crimes. Men are more physical, women are more manipulative.

It's the other way around--acting violently INCREASES one's testosterone levels. See Robert Sapolsky's The Trouble with Testosterone. T is a factor, but it's really not that simple. And if you're too lazy to read the book, his Stanford lectures are on youtube.
