    W is middle one

    .. and there are five numbers

    .. and they are 'consecutive even'

    So, the numbers are:

    W .. W + 2 and W + 4 .. and .. W - 2 and W - 4

    Which is:

    W - 4 + W - 2 + W + W + 2 + W + 4

    Rearrange that to get ..

    W + W + W + W + W + 2 - 2 + 4 - 4

    Giving you:

    5W

    Sum = (w - 4) + ( w - 2) + w + (w + 2) + (w + 4) = 5w

    w/3, 2w/3, w, 4w/3, 5w/3. where w is any integer multiple of 6.

    Sum = 5w

    W is a letter, NOT a number.

    W-4 + w-2 + w + w+2 + w+4

    simplify on your own.
