Is the name Iris for a baby girl too basic?

I like short easy names like Iris, Ivy , Jane. But I feel they are too basic or are they okay?

    Iris is nice and uncommon

Ivy: reminds me of poison ivy

    Jane: very plain/common

Iris is okay, though I don't care much for most floral names.

Iris is actually one of my favourite female names.

I also love Jane...and Ivy is not a bad name either.

Jane and Ivy are a little too common for my tastes, though 😄

If it's short but has a meaning, or sounds dynamic, then it's fine

Iris is a pretty name. But she'll be back here in 13 years complaining that her name is too short and wanting a nickname. So here you go:

    Risa

    Rissa

    Rissi

    Ira

Not at all it's lovely. Floral names are great. Fern and Laurel are also very pretty.

It might sound rather highfalutin to some people, not in the slightest basic.

Yeah it's basic. You should name her Vasuligra, that's not basic.

No, They're great. All these new long ridiculous names are hard on the kid. Btw, I love Ivy!
