What can an employer do if one worker clocks out another workers time card at the end of a day ?

Say one employee leaves early but asks a co-worker to clock his time card out at the end of the shift? Is it a fire able offence

    In most cases that would be a fireable offense, yes. Because it's essentially stealing from the employer.

    They can fire them. Both of them. That would be the normal thing to do. It is theft of time.

    They don't have to fire the employees, but they can.

    It can be considered fraud or theft.

    Almost everywhere. It is thief of time. Usually both would be fired.

    Obviously they will be fired. They may also face criminal charges, since it's potentially fraud.
