    Given,

    Initial speed (u) = 17m/secTime (t) = 1secAcceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.81m/sec²Final speed (v) = ?Using kinematic relation:-v = u + atv = u + (-g)t [∵ upward direction]v = 17m/sec + (-9.81m/sec²) x 1sec= 17m/sec - 9.81m/sec= 7.19m/sec ≈ 7.2m/sec∴ final speed (v) = 7.2m/sec.

    V = Vo-g*t = 17-9.8*1 = 7.2 m/sec

    7.2 m/s obviously

    gravitation is 9.8 m/s
