The word you need is "moreno" (brunette, dark haired). It matches the hint #2: "Un chico con pelo negɾo es..." (A boy with black hair is...).

You mistook the hints. The word "delgado" (thin) matches the hint #6: "No es gordo; es ..." You already got it right.

    1. La nacionalidad de Salma Hayek = mexicana (horizontal)

    2. Un chico con pelo negɾo es... = moreno (horizontal)

    3. La nacionalidad de Antonio Banderas = español (vertical) *

(*) This word should be "españolA", because "nacionalidad" is a feminine noun, then it agrees with feminine adjectives.

    4. Una muchacha que no es bonita es... = fea (vertical)

    5. Uno de los colores de la bandera de Estados Unidos = rojo (vertical)

    6. No es gordo; es... = delgado (horizontal)

No es gordo sino es flaco. He is not fat but he is skinny.

After a negative statement use sino instead of pero.
