Up to 7.8 mmol/L (140 mg/dL) 2 hours after eating.

Anyone who tests their sugar level directly after eating something that is high in carbohydrates MIGHT get a higher than normal reading.
A NORMAL reading is to be below 140 at TWO HOURS after eating. Testing anything less than two hours MIGHT catch a spike in the sugar level that would be above 140 because the body has not processed all the glucose yet.
Someone who is NOT diabetic should NEVER get a reading that is 200 or more no matter what they just ate and no matter when they test.
So, a reading of 134 directly after a meal is very good since it is already below the two hour goal.

A non-diabetic's blood sugar level can go as high as 140 mg/dL [that's 7.8 mmol/l for people who use the International Standard for blood glucose measurement]. This would be 2 hours after eating as the 2 hour point is the CORRECT time to test ... unless you happen to be pregnant, where you would test 1 hour AND 2 hours after eating.
A blood sugar level of 200 mg/dL [11.1 mmol/l] at ANY time indicates diabetes.
