I have a 14 Chevy Cruz. The drain plug on the oil pan was damaged by a wrench. Is this an easy fix or a mechanic's job? thanks?

It's an easy fix for a competent mechanic with the right tools. It doesn't sound like you're a competent mechanic or you wouldn't have asked.

They make 'slightly oversized' drain plugs that cut a new thread just for that situation, check at an auto parts store ...........

Easy for some people. 6 point socket or box wrench. Vise grips. Hammer and chisle. Air hammer. Weld a nut to the bolt.
