What sword does the bill of a sailfish resemble?

I learned on Wild Kratts that the bill of a swordfish resembles a broad sword and the bill of a marlin resembles a rapier, but they didn t show what sword the sailfish s bill resembles. What sword does the sailfish s bill resemble?

A sailfish bill is very similar to a marlin's bill, that is, relatively thin. A swordfish is called a "broadbill" because its bill is broad, that is, wide.

Not one of the fish mentioned resembles any swords as such .

Just because the projection is long and pointy is why the projections are called swords.

There not one sword ever made that looks like a fish projection.
