Is it ok to sleep when cold?

Ok so I know you're not supposed to sleep when it's cold out or you yourself have gotten extremely cold.

But what if say, you got extremely cold (talking Titanic levels here) and were taken somewhere warm? New dry clothes, warmed blanket, hot drink, warm body to lay against, you're still shivering pretty bad, lips are still a little blue, but you're safe and warming up. Is it ok to sleep at this point?

(I mean I assume it is but I'm writing a story outline and my brain won't leave this alone till I know)

I suspect this is going to be a poorly written story.

Because I had a hard to look up question or are you just a bitter person in general?

Why would it not be ok to sleep when cold?

It's perfectly safe, since you are warming up.
