Could I be arrested for asking strangers to cash a check for me?

I have heard of scammers in San Francisco asking strangers to cash a bad check for them at an ATM and them paying them $40 for the favor. I have a $700 bad check I could use to hustle someone out of their money but I don’t know if SFPD would be on top of it? Theft under $950 isn’t even a felony in California and the police in the city don’t waste their time with petty thefts from what I’ve heard.

Even worse is that, troll or not, you are an idiot.

Your question has no relevance to SF or Travel.

What you are asking is more of a law enforcement question.

Morally and ethically what you are proposing is fraud and not what YA is for.

Check fraud is a felony. That isn't theft, it's check fraud.

Troll, I think I hear your mom calling you. It's time for your monthly bath.
