V = Q1*12*60

V = (Q1-14)*96*60

84Q1 = 1344

Q1 = 1344/84 = 16 lpm

V = Q1*12 = 16*12 = 192 liters

If the answer is x:

The incoming pipe is bringing x/12 litres per minute.

The outgoing pipe is losing 14 litres per minute.

So the overall input rate is (x/12) - 14 litres per minute.

After 96 minutes, the total water input is 96((x/12) - 14) = 8x - 1344 = x

8x - x = 1344

7x = 1344

x = 1344/7 = 192
