Why do atheists worship racist Charles Darwin who married and had kids with his cousin?
- GitLv 53 weeks ago
In that case, you must reject the bible because “the bible does not forbid cousins from marrying”.
Extract from wikipedia:
A few books of the Bible, particularly the early parts of the Torah, contain narratives of individuals who had engaged in sexual relations with near kin; while this could be construed as incest, endogamy is an alternative interpretation. The Bible does not, for example, forbid cousins from marrying, but it does prohibit sexual relations with several other close relatives.
Many of the characters in the bible had incestuous relationship. Yet these are okay with you? In the link I have provided, wikipedia listed something like 15 incestuous relationship.

Let me ask you a question. Why do you think jesus is white and not black if he is from the middle east?

I don't worship Charles Darwin, or anybody else. When Darwin was alive, nobody understood that DNA is the agent of genetic heritability and nobody appreciated the dangers of inbreeding. Back then, royalty often married within their own families. It is unfair to judge the behaviors of past civilizations using the knowledge and prejudices of today.

i dont worship charles darwin but instead go to university studying biology and learn of his works in evolution and natural selection. you seriously all need to open your eyes, the worlds over 3 billion years old. we have evolved from a ancestor which all other animals, insects, bacteria and viruses have also evolved from. from prokaryotes to eukaryotes. people believed this rubbish hundreds of years ago when they had no explanation for the beginning of time which charles darwin and many other biologists, physicists, ecologists .etc disproved all them years ago providing sufficient evidence that the world was not created only 4000 years ago by a mythical god.

See here's the deal. We are atheists; we don't worship anything or anyone. But we adhere to the scientific method to support our assertions and findings.
And here's the deal on Darwin:
"Darwin authored three botanical books showing that cross-fertilization was much more beneficial than self-fertilization for maintaining robust and plentiful plant species. He began to worry about the effects of Darwin-Wedgwood inbreeding on his own family after the death of his daughter, Annie, of tuberculosis at age 10 - the second of his children to die young."
Which is to say, the negative effects of in-breeding among humans were not yet scientifically established. They were only beginning to be suspected and then only by people such as Darwin himself.
And none of these concerns has anything to do with racism; especially within his own family, which are all Caucasoids (English).

"Atheist" was a word made by Greek theist to call unbelievers, that happen 5 centuries before any Christians exist, 1,100 years before any Muslim exist, 2,309 years before Charles Darwin born, and 2,359 years before On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life was published... Worship is some theistic thing ...for sure but Darwin made a working theory of Biology. Biology is science. Science is nothing about atheism or theism a brain made by a god should be able to handled and grasp simple human-made definitions.

Atheists don't worship Darwin. That's just another one of the endless lies fundies tell.
He was actually less racist than most Englishmen of the period, including clergymen.

We don't. We recognise that the Theory of Evolution, is correct, because it is well supported by evidence, unlike your claim that he was racist, which is only supported by a quote mine.
