What are foods and drinks you can and can’t have before singing after singing?
All I’m trying to do make it sound raspy when I’m trying to sing/scream for the beginners, but then I drink coke zero after singing everyday. Can somebody give me suggestions so I can understand clearly? Thank you.

I can't sing on a full stomach. As such, I don't eat or drink anything at least four hours before I do any singing, whether the singing is just practice or a performance. I drink and eat anything after I sing.Source(s): I am a professional singer

anything milky or sugary will cause problems.
water and juices are fine.
it's best not to eat 2 hours before singing.

It doesn't matter. Your voice is in your throat not your stomach. However, it's not advisable not to sing on a full stomach. It's best to eat a light meal a few hours before a performance.
