What pellet for the beeman p17 can I get the most damage out of?

The Beeman P17 doesn't have the energy to do much more than target practice. A lighter pellet will get you a higher velocity and flatter trajectory which may be better for targets. A heavier pellet is going to be slower but might have a better chance of pushing over metal targets and spinners. Either pellet choice is not going to do much damage except maybe a small bird or a mouse at a very short range. It is meant to be used for basic target shooting and perhaps light plinking. For about $30 I wouldn't expect much.

You need something in 10 grain to have much energy, and then, your gun needs to push it to a reasonable velocity.
