    According to the data given ∠HGI = 180° - 2m.

    ∴ ∠JGI = 2m and ∠JGIK= ∠KGI = m,

    ∴ ∠GHI = ∠JGIK and are corresponding angles (or, angles ∠JGIH = ∠KGI and are alternate angles).

    ∴ GK ∥ HI.

  • I think you need to use the fact that the sum of a triangle angles is 180

    and the fact that hj is a line so the top angle of the triangle plus angles 1 & 2 is 180

    angleh=anglei

    angletop = 180 - angleh - anglei

    angletop also = 180 - angle1 - angle2

    angle1=angle1

    angleh=anglei

    so anglei=angle2

    so gk is parallel
