Why do women have to pay for feminine hygiene products?

It’s bad enough having to suffer and being told to just deal with it but then I have to waste like $30 a month which could be used on something else  on pads and tampons...but if men had periods it would be free...

Have you not heard of user pays? Men dont use these products so where is the problem? If you made them free you would be forcing men to pay through their taxes. This is grossly unfair

go down to the big hill in eastern Frankfort KY and find the cave in the side of it. Call out for earl and he'll stop you from having periods for free.

Have you tried one of those internal cups that you use over and over again? and then you would just have the cost of that one time plus a cheap box of panty liners for backup flow. It is a little different than tampons and pads, but many women like it once they get used to it.

Well, if we didn't have to pay that would probably involve slave labor. Which is illegal in most countries that sell feminine products. And it costs money to buy the materials. I think they should be available for free in workplaces/schools (just in case) and to those who can't afford it. Food is available for free in schools to students who can't afford it, so feminine products should be too.

because the big bad companies that make them have to pay their staff. so by buying that, you are paying a worker.

You don't have to. You choose to.

Men would use paper towels and duct tape.

You would probably get an infection or accidentally rip out all your hair with the duct tape. And you would still have to pay for the duct tape and paper towels
