When does a late payment go on your credit score?

If you are less than 30 days late, then it usually does not go on your score.

If you are more than 30 days late, then it goes on your score whenever the company you were supposed to pay next reports to the credit bureau. Many of them do this only once every 1-3 months. However, even if you have already paid by then, it still goes on your score, if you were more than 30 days late.

Once it is on, it stays on for at least 7 years, even if you pay sooner.

Totally up to the business you owe but the majority do 30 days unless its a recurring thing then they shorten the time

About 30 days after it is reported.

If you mean after how many days it may vary. What kind of credit? Car loans may have a 10 day grace period. Credit card payments do not.

When the creditor reports it. That is up to the creditor. Not all late payments are reported. Credit card companies don't care about the occasional late payment; they are happy to take your $35 or so. It's when you are late with consecutive payments that they take notice and report.

30 days late is a "marker" that will get "reported" even if you are late...PAY what you can IMMEDIATELY.
