Why do families flee to Ireland from social services? ?
Can someone explain why people usually move to Ireland when social services threaten to remove their children?

Perhaps obviously; to avoid social services from removing their children.

Because British social services have no jurisdiction in Ireland. However, if the Irish social services investigate, the children may still be taken away.
