Is 1 X 6 Wood Enough for Decking Planks?

My joists are spaced about 14 inches on center (OC). I'm replacing rotten deck planks and adding new ones.

Will 1 X 6 deck planks (0.75 x 5.5 actual size) work okay for this? It's pressure treated pine lumber.

Yes. My last deck was built that way.

If what was there was nominal 1x stock then it ought to work. I wouldn't use lumber that small, but that's me.

Yes they will work.. I have used 1x6 treated planks on 16" centers. 14" will work just fine.

How thick is it? Planks can be any width and length.

Nominal 1" IS the thickness. If that went over your head, you have no business answering this type of question.
