 HCl (aq) +NaOH (aq) --> NaCl(aq)+H2O

Using: a) in run 1, 1 mole of HCl with 0.9 mole of NaOH

b) in run 2, 1 mole of HCl with 1.1 mole of NaOH.

Which of the reactants was the limiting reactant in each run?

    a) There is more HCl than NaOH, so NaOH is the limiting reactant.

    b) There is more more NaOH than HCl, so HCl is the limiting reactant.
