    It is not true, of course. You get happier and more contented. Catholic nuns like Mother Theresa failed that idea.

    As far as I can tell, the only state that would be characterized by NO aspirations (wants) is called a stupor. It is the goals one sets and pursues that define who we are and that defines life. Having as a goal wanting "nothing" is rather silly. The notion here would be better expressed by aspiring to goals in a way to minimize angst and distress; of course, tis would be no easy task - but it beats stupor.
