When will they get rid of this 15 character limit ? ?

Why can't we just answer a simple yes or no question anymore instead of saying " yes.............. " or no ........  ...

It's only been (back) in effect a couple of months. Considering the site was designed for knowledge seeking questions, that means the vast majority (well over 90%) of the legit questions here, require an answer that should EASILY surpass 15 characters.

For those only wanting to answer chat (violation) posts to gain points, adding more characters is necessary. It's not that difficult to add an extra 13 - 14 RELEVANT characters to form a reasonable response, even to a yes/no question.

They probably never will because they always want questions with multiple numbers or letters. Hope this helps

Most people like more than a yes or a no answer, you don't have to do exactly 15 characters, just a few more than yes or no.

Because you're supposed to ask good, thought provoking questions. And give good answers.

Yahoo won't. But you've already proven that you know how to bypass the limit, Sherlock. You tend to answer questions with gems of wisdom like:

"L............" or "Whatever floats your boat."
