    It's a melange of a lot of other influences but the hyper Capitalist nature of the US is a culture in and of itself that was invented right here.

    but - yes, largely American culture is the result of the "melting pot" of cultures.

    Of course

    almost any other culture

    also has adopted heavily from other cultures

    both neighboring cultures

    and past cultures.

    American culture is unusual in how recently it has adopted from others and in how widely it has adopted from others.

    America is a big country. It has extremely diverse cultural mores, many of them.
