Is it selfish to move abroad?

    Not at all. We should all enjoy the freedom to move anywhere we wish. If we can afford it of course.

    hat depends on you. If by "family" you mean children for whom you are responsible, then leaving long term could be selfish in a bad way (unless you can bring them, in which case, that's an even greater adventure! I'm a big supporter of traveling with children). However, if by family you mean parents and siblings for whom you are not responsible for, then you do need to put yourself first sometimes because life is too short. There is "selfish" in a good way, and it's when you need to invest into your own life in order to be a better person to those around you. Travel can be a wonderful investment into yourself.

    Selfish meaning you are leaving your family?   not really.  Once you are an adult, you decide your own life.  Unless you want your parents to decide for you.
