. My doctor will not write a letter to state disability so I can continue benefits. what can I do?

    See another doctor.

    Some doctors won't provide medical records when a patient has an outstanding balance. If that is the reason then pay up. There is no law which requires doctors to comply with requests for medical records.

      Under HIPAA, patients are entitled to request the release of their medical records. They may have to pay for copies, but they are entitled to them.
