If a long-term gf wants to know how much money you make, is she a gold digger?

What if she has also talked about being a stay at home mom?

Most anyone who is in a long-term relationship and is anticipating it to continue forward in their lives, wants, and deserves, to know the impact on both lives regarding finances, expectations in life, parenting styles, and whether or not they are compatible in future goals. That is a right of passage. It isn't "gold digger" behavior. It is adult behavior.

You don't have to make all your gf's dreams come true if you don't want to. There is nothing "gold digger" about a woman wanting to be a SAHM. That's not a life of holiday! It's actually a preferred child rearing situation if it is something the couple can afford.

Many couples need be a two income home. Some couples decide that hands on child rearing is more important than how often they can purchase new cell phones or how fancy a vacation they need. And talking about these choices is a GOOD thing to do!

She is not.She wants to plan her future as a full time house wife and a mom may be as your partner. Discuss with her your earnings and help her to plan the future living . You are lucky to have a gf who think about her future. She is an asset to any husband.

Just because someone we are in a relationship with asks about finances, it doesn't mean they are a gold-digger. Most men on this planet don't need to worry about gold diggers, because most are not millionaires.

Sounds like she is sizing you up to determine if you can provide the lifestyle she would like because she does not intend to work herself.

Only if she asks this when you first start dating, or within a few months after you met. That would be a clear sign of a gold digger to me.

No, it does not appear that she is a gold digger.
