If you ever road one you would already know that answer, the only thing holding you back is the price of gas, and the Helmet Laws.

When riding a motorcycle, you can hear the loud roar of tthe engine, feel the wind coming through and go freely, it is close to the sense of freedom.

Try riding one and you'll feel why.

Have you EVER sit on a motorcycle?

Driving a car with seat belts on is like being tied in a bloody cage. You just sit there, peeking outside the windshield while tirelessly yapping on the phone to make the journey a tad more tolerable.

Who cares if it's illegal or dangerous?

On the contrary, motorcycles are in a league of their own. They give you 100% control, due to a number of reasons.

    On a motorcycle, your:

    1. Right hand is the throttle.

    2. Right hand's fingers are the front brake.

    3. Left hand's fingers are the clutch.

    4. Right foot is the rear brake.

    5. Left foot is the gear box.

    6. Right thumb is for low-high beams.

    7. Left thumb is for indicator and horn.

    8. Your arms steer at low speeds.

    9. Your WHOLE body steers at high speeds.

    10. Your head is a 360 degree windshield.

You're all over it, basically. It's no surprise that riders can FEEL their bikes. They are practically connected with them, basically.

    Literally connected!

I bet you won't look down on motorcycles the same way ever again! Unless you're mentally handicapped or have a HUGE bias against motorcycles, of course.

Because the vessel is an extension of you. You don't necessarily operate it as much as you move in harmony with it. The ever present threat of permanent injury and death also helps to remind the operator that (s)he's living, as we can all unfortunately forget sometimes.

A car is safe., so you don't need to. It is a steel cage.

In a car you cannot feel the wind. You cannot see 360°. You cannot smell the air.

On a motorcycle you are only as safe as you are. You feel the wind, smell the air, see everything.

I don't like being in a cage. I prefer freedom.

Passing cagers on I-10 at 85-90 mph beats being stuck in an '86 Tercel that barely does 65..
