I keep getting a message "Could not verify license" on a certain website- why?

And can I do anything about it?

It's probably phishing to reel you in. Ignore it.

You can go into your Internet explorer and lower the security settings. So that it does not check certificates. But a common cause of certificate errors is a bad bios battery that has let the clock on your computer display the wrong date and the wrong time. Yes believe this or not if your date and time are set incorrectly on your computer. It'll give you all kinds of certificate errors.
