Usually the insured / replacement value is approximately 25 higher than the selling price of a piece of jewelry. However, not all jewelry sold privately makes anywhere close to the retail price or the original purchase price. So I would think you might get around 1800 pounds for it.

The retail value will generally be about 1/3 of the insured value. Expect even less if selling stolen merchandise, pawning, or selling to be melted and recast. Does your grandmother know you have been looting her jewelry box?
