Why do democrats continue to refuse to hold an official vote to make their fake impeachment an official impeachment?

Impeachment is not a light matter, there is lots of legal documentation and witnesses to examine. You just don't waltz in and go straight to impeachment...............IT'S CALLED THE INQUIRY STAGE!!!!!

Because the vote to make an impeachment official doesn't happy until the END of the hearings in the House of Representatives.

democrats are holding a mock impeachment hearing merely to appease their left-wing base. impeachment is a lose-lose proposition for the democrats. should they hold the vote, the democrats would likely lose the vote for impeachment anyway and would unnecessarily force democratic congressmen and women who won in red districts to go on record supporting impeachment, assuring they lose their seats.
however even if the impeachment vote succeeded, the republican led senate, obligated to hold a trial, would still acquit the president and not remove him from office. furthermore if the senate holds a trial the republicans would be able to call their own witnesses who would publicly expose all the bribery, quid pro quo and money laundering crimes committed by the clintons, bidens, obama and other democrats. the democrats would be slitting their own throats and the angry backlash from the american electorate would destroy the democratic party for decades to come.

It's good to be able to learn from the other guy's mistakes. When the Republican impeached Clinton, they announced the impeachment and proceeded directly to a vote. They didn't interview any witnesses or present any evidence. And it seriously backfired on them.
Nancy Pelosi didn't want to make that mistake. She announced an -inquiry-, not an impeachment. She wants to get all the info she can before making the decision to call a vote. There may be an impeachment vote or not, but if there is one, Americans will know WHY, and that it isn't just a partisan vendetta like the Clinton impeachment was.
